This ball of amethyst crystals from Uraguay shares a common morphology with many Uraguayan specimens, but the crystals are unusually large and pale, looking much like Brazillian amethyst.
# AME-244, $30.00 Sold!
Dims: 4.36x2.64x0.70in (11.09x6.71x1.78cm) .... Wt: 5.9oz (168g) .... Loc: Irai, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil
This type of quartz is called "Rose Amethyst" largely because many of the formations resemble a rose petal. This specimen is pale, with some areas nearly colorless and others having a pale amethyst color. The individual crystals are long and lay against the original host rock which has been removed. It is quite appealing for such a pale piece.
# AME-241, $225.00 Sold!

This is an impressive "Cactus Amethyst" cluster, showing a half-dozen well-formed prismatic crystals covered with a druze of pale amethyst crystals and some areas that look like citrine.
# AME-240, $60.00 Sold!
Dims: 5.7x5.3x2.8in (14.5x13.5x7.0cm) .... Wt: 67oz (1910g) .... Loc: Minas Gerais, Brazil
This is a matched pair, as a single geode was cut in half yielding this pair of small amethyst geodes. While the weight refers to the total, the dimensions are of one of the set - the other is very similar in size.
