ANORTHOSITE

Anorthosite is a plutonic igneous rock, primarily consisting of plagioclase feldspars with no more than 10% of mafic components such as ilmenite, olivene, magnetite or pyroxene.

Anorthosites are typically gray or bluish, and are rather course grained. Individual crystals may be quite large.
